Bettina is a physiotherapist with her interests in pelvic physiotherapy, pelvic floor functioning, continence, women’s health and pregnancy.
Bettina graduated at the University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg, South Africa) in 2001 and then went to the UK in 2004 where she attended numerous postgraduate courses in the field and gained work experience. She is based in private practice in Fourways, Johannesburg.
Besides her clinical practice, Bettina is involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate training. She is a sessional lecturer in gender health and pelvic floor functioning for undergraduate students at the University of the Witwatersrand. On a postgraduate level, Bettina is part of the Women’s Health Society (a special interest group of the South African Society of Physiotherapy) and assists in postgraduate pelvic floor training and education. She is a member of various professional bodies both locally and internationally and strives to keep up with advances in her field.
In 2016 Bettina received her Master Life Coach certificate. She also does life coaching programs and runs workshops incorporating a mind/body and holistic approach to health, healing and well being.
